Tommy Evans wins British Composer Award

Tommy Evans suite "The Green Seagull", which was commissioned by Marsden Jazz Festival and premièred at the 2010 festival, has won in the contemporary jazz composition at the prestigious 2011 British Composer Awards.

The British Composer awards are run British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA), sponsored by the PRS for Music and presented in association with BBC Radio 3.
