The audience at the British Legion on Friday night are in for a treat. Not only will they be the first to experience a band in the Legion's newly enhanced performance space, there are some serious jazz chops on show.

Saxophone legend Alan Skidmore is truly part of the pantheon of British jazz. Here is historic footage of an all star session in 1969 featuring Skid, John Surman, Kenny Wheeler, Mike Osborne and Ronnie Scott.

Jim Hart is an award winning vibraphone virtuoso. Here is footage from 2008 of Jim performing with Mercury Prize nominee Gwilym Simcock at the Ship Theatre Sevenoaks.

Rod Mason, Paul Kilvington, Ben Crosland and Dave Tyas complete the line up of the Legion All Stars on Friday night. Here they are performing in June of this year at the Lescar in Sheffield.
