Sirkis leads the trio from the drumkit and has a delicate, almost melodic approach to playing the drums. The Asaf Sirkis Trio can be heard at Marsden Jazz Festival at the Standedge Visitor Centre at 8pm on Saturday 8 October. Stuart McCallumJohn Quail, New Stream director at Marsden Jazz Festival, gives a personal introduction to the finely honed multi-layered dreamy sound of Stuart McCallum.
